trans. problems
 

have a 1970 911 took out for first time went about a 1/4 of a mile, then came out of gear at stop sign and could not get into 1,2,3 or R, like it jamed or shifter is stuck? I can get into 4 and 5th is the tran. gone? any idea?? thanks mark

Check the shift coupling under the plate on the floor behind and between the seats. It may be loose or the plastic bushings in it are bad. Jim
