"Salvage title, was from a light tap on the rear engine decklid, should not have been salvaged, this Porsche was other wise immaculate, very clean and well cared for. "

Either thats a total lie or the car was such a POS that it wasn't worth the $300 for a straight decklid.

Over the top for me (getting close to 60) but then I think my 1987 red Targa is a very nice look.

Next thing ya know people will be doing their CIS engines in yellow.............oh.

If purchasing, I can't see any real reason in even of salvage title
why an owner should not be able to present evidence of salvage (pics), btw.

First, I'm hoping there's a special place in hell for people that put turbo badges on NA cars.

Second, it's a 1981 *what*? That VIN doesn't make any sense, looks like a Honda number or something.

Third, the car makes me sort of sad - some one put a lot of work and money into that car, and they were, imo, very misguided.

Let me see here, 160,00 miles (no motor details), salvage title, all for a mere $15k+ ?

No thank you.

It is well done, in the pictures. The interior is usually what really suffers on the 993 'updates'. You usually have 993 on the outside but a 75 on the inside, still.

Why does everyone love the 37 ford coupe hotrods but throw a fit if the same is attempted on a 911? This was a salvage car, a $4000 SC, probably a complete loss. Who cares?

Someone will have a great way to show off now, driving up to the club, until he needs to live up to the turbo badge.

What scares me most is the fact that the seller probably demands in the 25k+ range?

George

It's just too errm..... ORANGE! For someone to put that much work and money into a car you would think they would have started with something decent. In the eyes of a DMV it is just a salvaged car with a tampered speedo.

How did they get all that normally black plastic to be tan? Paint? I'd like to see it in a year or two when it all starts flaking off. It's an interesting "show car", but this ain't the "show car" crowd.

Too over the top for me, but I looks like the body modifications are done well. Someone has dropped some serious money into this car.
