Value of 901 box with ZF LSD?

I have the ooportunity to buy a 901 box with a factory ZF LSD but am unsure as to its value. I am famililiar with the costs involved in refurbishing the gearbox itself but have no idea of what wears on the diff and how much it costs to refurbish the diff. Any ideas for me? When inspecting the box out of a car is there any way of getting an idication of the condition of the diff?

LSD is based on 904 and can be tested by measuring it's slip-torque. Anything over 40Nm should be good.

I believe it's part# is 904 332 053 00.

Which year is tranny from?
