How do you measure tire height

I bought some AVS-ES100 and they look to tall on my car, they seem to come out from the rim, as if they bulge out. I would like a tire that is even with the rim, and goes straight up. So I am trying to find out if there is a place that post the spec on how tall a tire by a specific manufacture is?

What do you call the measurement of the height of the tire?

Thanks, I have been there, but haven't been able to find a height of the tire dimension they sell.

(225/45R17) 45 indicates the height of the tire wall, and it is 45% of the tire width (rolling ribbon), inflated at the indicated by the manufacturer psi. 225/45R17 = 225mm/101.25mmR17

Rim Width
The width between the flanges of the wheel (the part the bead of the tire touches).

Section Width
The linear distance between the outside of the sidewalls of an inflated tire without any load on it (this does not include any sidewall decorations).

Section Height
This is also known as the Aspect Ratio. This is figured on a percentage of the section width. A tire size of 205/60R15 would have a section width of 205 millimeters and a section height of 60 percent of 205 millimeters.
