Alternative AC Compressor
 

I'm new to the 911 part of this website.

I've just bought a 77 911S that is missing the AC Compressor. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a relatively easy retrofit A/C compressor that will work adequately. It need not look factory or mount up to the existing mount.

I guess I'm hoping that someone can reccomend an alternative compressor out of something common that I can go to the autowrecker and buy for under $50. If this exists, let me know.

Seki Seiko out of a early Saab 9000. A true rotary compressor and not a wobble plate. You will need the York to sanden mount to mount it in your Porsche. Check eBay for York to Sanden mount.

Other alternative will be a Sanden compressor such as their model SD508. You will need the York to Sanden mount also.

Or you can buy a rebuilt York compressor.
