911SC A/C Removal Question
I have fully removed all my AC components and lines except the blower motor (for extra cabin fresh air). The problem I have now is that there is a slight whine coming from the AC evaporator in the smugglers box, even with the AC turned off. If I remove the fuse then the blower will not work.
Any suggestions??? Thanks ................................ Randy |
The A/C blower doesn't blow fresh air. It draws air from the cabin. If you want freash air roll down the windows.

Thanks Ed. When I said ''fresh'' I meant that I had taken a shower before getting into the car. LOL.
Some one out there must know how to stop the whine from the AC condensor. Randy |
does it do it when the key is in the on position or just when the motor is running? could the fan be on the low speed setting with out you realizing it?
|
DId it do this before and is this a result of removing the AC which I was thinking of doing.
|
Noise is when the key is in the on position and same noise continues even after the engine has been started.
The fan motor is definately not on the low setting. I'm not sure if this is a result of the AC being removed. Randy |
Are you sure it isn't the fuel pump you are hearing?
|
You might be right. Perhaps I'm looking too much into this. The pump is located under the car, almost directly below the smugglers box. Here I am thinking it is the AC.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Randy |
