SF paint shops?
greetings all;
I'm going to respray my 67 911, keeping it original and "RFO" (really friggin orange!) tangerine. Body is in decent shape, very little rust, but the existing paint needs to be updated and a little body work done. two questions: how much should I expect to pay for a decent respray, and who does good work at a reasonable price in SF area?? I realize 'how much' is like the 'how long is a piece of string' question....but without going insane on a $15k repaint, what should I expect to pay north of Earl Shibe?? thanks for your comments.... tom |

I just had my 74 Targa painted at International Auto in San Bruno (ask for Big John). I did all the initial sanding and took everyting a part and put it back together andy they charged $3000 for a little prep, base and clear coat, and buff. Turned out great. They do a lot Porsches.
I trailered the car down and back to my garage and it was nice to be able to take my time putting everything back together with new gaskets, rubber and hardware.

If you waht wht porschepilot did then 3000, if not double it at least. Shops wanted anywhere form a low of 5800-over 8 grand to do mine.
