Sunday June 20th, German Car Day, Brookline, MA Anyone Going?

http://www.mot.org/Events/lawn.html

Anyone going to this event? The weather forecast looks like it will be a nice day. I am planning on going. Post a PIC of your car if you plan on going.

I am a PCA member but I haven't yet heard about this. The website says it is sponsored by the local "Porsche club". Too bad the website gives no details about the event. I have nothing else planned for Sunday. Can you fill us in on what will be happening?

BTW - That is a damned sweet looking car. Any more pics?

Cool pics...I like the casablanca beige...not sure I've ever seen it before...

So what is the purpose of the Transportation Museum event? Car show? Concours? Demolition derby?

It's a pretty cool event. It's a nice location too. Museum of Transportation. I usually attend the German Car and then the Porsche day, but they have events for every one. Miata day, pontiac/camaro etc. Last year Porsche day was great and the German Car day is fun b/c you also see nice BMW's (2002's, 3.0 CS's) as well as cool VW's and Mercs.

Dave, I didn't bring a camera but I think WERK-I (Dave) brought one. Hopefully he will post a few pics. I was hoping to see your green machine, maybe next time.

Sorry John. I couldn't make it this year. I am still aiming to be in town for the Sept (I think) Porsche fest, although at that event the car completely 'disappears' among all the other, flawless, longhood restos, as well as authentic 2.7RS's. Until then, if there is some other Pelicanite gathering, I will make my best effort to attend as well.

This BBS Program really PI$$E$ off!! I posted a reply with some history and 11 images attached, pressed the submit button, then the program tells me I have posted too many images. I go back and all the text is gone!! What a POS.
Anyway, here are the images...a little a time.
