are you putting these on an earlier car? lf so you`ll need two keys, the ignition is different. l made my own 993 handles from my stockers and that allowed me to keep my original keys. What`s required is grinding down the stockers and using epoxy to bond 993 shaped handle"skins".Sounds funky but l`ve done a few sets and the results are great.Check the "silver bullet picture thread" on this forum for pics of the handles on my car.l charge $300.00 for that.

Find a full set of 993 handles on ebay. They will show up, be patient. I got my set for 225.00 complete Take out the lock mech from both handles. You can't do the 993 handle with the 74-94 lock mech. To key the 993 lock for your key, you need to... one at a time, remove the lock tumblers from the older lock and replace the tumblers in the 993. Do this in sequence and one at a time and when your done, assemble everything and you have 993 handles keyed for your key... It's a lot easier than it sounds, and the hardest part is getting to the little 8mm nut that holds the rear of the handle in the door. You can easily paint them yourself by taking your paint code to a local pro auto paint store and have them make you a spray can of your color... squirt away!!! Good luck!! ![]() ![]()
