Cost of ownership

Has anyone ever worked up a schedule of common maintenance items (or recomended upgrades - like turbo tie-rods) and costs for the various eras of 911's? For example, what someone should expect to pay for a minor (i.e. couple of syncros) and major (i.e. the works/total back to new rebuild) transmission rebuild, minor (i.e. pad replacement) and major (i.e. rotors, pads and caliper rebuild) brake refurbish, top end engine rebuild, total engine rebuild (back to stock - no performance upgrades) shock and strut rebuild, etc, etc, etc...

I'd pay money for such document... :)

Thanks.

Wellllllll, if you'd pay money for that document:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/POR_911M_documt_pg1.htm Look at the 101 Projects book, ordered through Pelican you get a signed copy! The Engine Rebuild book is very good also and will include a CD if bought through Pelican.

Including purchase prices, all repairs, updates, oil changes, and interest paid on the truck my 911SC has cost less overall than the 2000 Ford 3/4 tonne, but more per mile as the truck has been driven more miles than the car. If I had not needed to do the re-build, they would be very consistent in cost per mile.
