				Cone or Flat air filter

On a 3.2 which is the preferred air filter ? The flat filter with modified box or a cone type filter. Which brand of cone is the most popular ? Which type of box for the flat filter is better... the one with the round holes or the aftermarket open ones ? I could not help to notice that the GT3 comes with a cone filter from the factory. Thanks Chuck | ||

I think the majority will tell you that the stock flat filter is a great filter. Many run K&N style cone filters, but the benefit is more about cleaning up the engine bay than gaining horsepower.

Are there non-K&N cone type filters? I guess the complaint is that the K&N let in some crud. Are there filters with the same media as stock, but in cone form? They sure do clean up that corner of the engine.
