Car lifts/ Hoists

I have decided to go the lift route in my garage rather then putting and addition on. I have look at many on the net and it looks for my porsches it is going to cost 2 Gs . Anybody have any experience with any of these. Good deallings bad . I do want a 4 post as this seems the safest with the 914-6 in the air. Any help would be great

Ben

I am particularly impressed by what autolifters has to offer. Perhaps some owners can chime in.

The concept of most of the 4-posts are the same.
I have a Gemini, works fine, I can't see anything
that would be a safety concern.

I have an Autolifters M6000 4 post. I recommend it highly and think it is safe. You don't want to be under it unless it is locked however. I think they will send you a video showing one leg being hit by a fork lift with a car in the air. The one leg buckles but the car and lift stay up. They cost near $3,000 however.

We have a DoublePark and love it. Bought it for my hubby for Christmas two years ago. Can't imagine working on our cars without it.

It kind of depends what you want to use the lift for.
I have a mid rise lift because I prefer to have all the tires suspended. great for tire changes and brake and body work, I also like them better for engine removal as it leaves the sides unobstructed for engine removal.
