Need a ride to pick up my 911 in Connecticut

Hi all,
I just purchased an early 911 that's up in Ellington, CT. I was just wondering if anyone lived near the area or near BDL that can give me a ride from the airport to the Denny's in Vernon. I'll be glad to cover $$ for gas and your time, as long as it's in a 911 . Not too fond of taxis, but will take one if I have to. I will most likely arrive there (if I don't miss my flight) at 6:05pm tomorrow, if someone cancels their reservation. Otherwise, it'll probably be at 8:45pm. Thanks in advance!

Give us some details about the car, Jeff!

You're on the mainland now?

Driving Back?

Soooo Jeff,

Are you going to drive your car back to Hawaii? Difficult drive at best. Don't know that the 911 is specially equipped for that!!

Adam,
I'm in Maryland for air force schooling in aircraft metals technology. All the stuff I learned here will be very helpful towards the restoration/reconstruction of my other 911!

Larry,
Well, after I'm done here in MD, I'm taking a long road trip back to the west coast (I started a thread on this), where I will indeed ship the car back to Hawaii.

I don't really want to tell too much yet, except that it's a '72 T Targa widebody updated to a 964 turbo look I don't exactly have a lot of info on it, and this is a big risk for me, but I'm willing to take that risk. I will post details + pics once I get it back to Maryland, which hopefully is now changed to tomorrow, if I can get a flight there in time.

The Road To Hana waits!!!

Jeff:

I hope that the car works out fine for you. I wonder about your concerning the conversion to the widebody look. I know that these cars are hard to find, but if you wanted the original narrow body, why not wait for one, instead of getting an updated early car?

It all is based on what you want. Some people like the updated look. For me, I don't understand why, especially in a "T".

But I do hope that the car is what you expected. Did you have someone inspect it? I sense a "wish and a prayer" on your side. Hope that I'm wrong.

Let us know the details, when you get them.
