oil cooler seals?

Do i need to drop the exhaust to change my oil cooler seals on my 1970 911t? Any short cuts to doing this job?

Yep. Exhaust and carbs including manifolds need to come off. Cooling shroud, too.

The only shortcut I know of would be if it had a 1973-style two-piece cooling shroud installed.

Per the following instructions ... it would appear than none of the assemblies I mentioned above would have to come off ... if you have that short forward detachable piece ... even if you have to drill out some pop-rivets, it would save a bunch of time and work!
