Lost speedo calibration

Hi,

About a year ago I calibrated my speedometer against a GPS. It was accurate within one mph from at least 50 to 100.

I just rebuilt my transmission and it seemed afterwards like I was passing everyone on the road. Checking my speedo calibration I discovered that I'm 10% fast at 60 mph.

Anyone have any idea how rebuilding my transmission could mess up my speedometer calibration?

Thanks,

Eric
