Do new CV joints for early cars come with stubs?
My cv boot replacement and re-moly went well (thanks again for all the help here). I do have a question: As a back-up, I purchased an extra CV joint with the bearings.
Two things look different with the back up joint. 1. No stubs, and 2. the "circlip" if that is what this is that came with the joint, looks very different...like a clip with out spline indentures. What is this all about? Correct part or not? Thanks

What do you mean by stubs? Stub axles? Happy to hear you got it done. Did you put the paint marks on the bolts?

I mean the "roll pins" (stubs). They are not on the extra joint.
The job turned out well, and the car runs great. Thanks
