There's a fair amount of literature on this website alone about the '74 Euro Carrera. Do a search for it. Do you have any photos of your car that you can post?

The engine is the same as an RS engine. There are many RS owners here and here.

Thanks for the replys. Here are some pics. This is one of the Cars that Rick Cabell brought over from Germany.

I bought it from John Weyrauch, both are really nice guys.

Noah,

It is the one with Niki L etched in the glass.

Is that the one you drove?

Thanks Noah, I am having fun with it.

I hoping that Rick chimes in on this. I have misplaced his number and am curious to see how far he was able to get with the Nicki L thing and go from there.

Thumbs up

Great looking car!

You may want to consider continuing with an RS transformation with lightweight door panels, seats, etc.

Cheers!

Congrats! Sweet ride.

I have a similar car except it is a US 1974 911 with flares, and the same 2.7 MFI engine also done in white.

Enjoy, they are very nice cars.

Neat car!

Interesting that it has the duck and no front spoiler. Is this normal for this model? I should dig out Frere's book, but I'm not at home.

edit: I seem to remember this is normal for this model. I think the front spoiler came out with the first "whale tail." However, since the ducktail's lift reduction is not very different from the whale tail's, this seems unbalanced. If nobody replies on this, I'll check my books tonight.

Excellent car, Jeff. If it was Lauda's that'd indeed be a plus.

Wow, that's beautiful. I love how nice, clean, and MFI'd the engine bay looks!

Kobalt Blau,

Let me know what you find out. The Duck Tail was a replacement by the previous owner. It also came with it's original deck lid with Carrera script.

From what I understand ducktails where not allowed in Germany after 1973 .

Thanks

Jeff

Jeff, I bought the 73E from John! Small world. And yes, he's a really nice guy.

One of these days, would you take me for a spin so I can "visualize" what my planned engine upgrade will feel like?

Jim,

Let's meet at the next NOVA fun run or monthly get together.

If you would like I'll let you take it for a spin.

Jeff

Wow!

If that was the only RS in John's garage, then that's the car he was making space for in his garage when he was selling me the 73E. Does he still have the 72S targa? And the 356 he was restoring?

Congrats on that purchase, Jeff!

Yes, this is the one.

He still has the 72S. He also has an Orange US 74 Carrera, and a Viper Green 73 T with 26,000 original miles. He is restoring the 356. They are some of the cleanest cars I have ever seen. He is a really good Guy!
