Just a quick question about the Targs script on our cars. When did it become blackened out. I noticed on some of the pics that the Targa name is black. On my '83 it is silver.

Not that I know of. It measures 25.5 in. at the front wheelwells and 25in. at the rear.

My '76 track car is about two inches lower than that!

Here is another one in the garage after I installed the new half-shafts. Notice my inspiration for getting a 911 in the background. The poster was sent to me by a car dealerhip after buying a used Toyota from them. It has my last name on the lic. plate (a sticker of course). You can also see this poster on the wall of Jerry Seinfeld's apartment in early episodes of the show.

Heres mine - possibly again, but hell, it keeps the thread alive.
We are to be reunited after nearly 3 yrs apart!!!
She will have some TLC very soon and then some very hard spirited driving on some alpine roads in the S. France!.
I am taking 6 months off work to enjoy life and relocate to the S. France.
Here she is: a 71 T (originally)
2.7 Twin plugged (with adapted 964 twin dizzy), 10:1 C/R crane Cams, Cosworth Pistons, up rated shocks, torsion bars, polished 'S' calipers front , Carrera rears, polished 6's & 7's Fuchs, custom leather interior, working heat and A/C rotary compressor and underbelly condenser etc etc.
paid $16,000 USD -
reckon I was ripped off

Yes, you were definitely ripped off. But being the nice guy that I am, I'll give you the $16,000 for it so you can recoup your investment.

Beautiful Targa!
