IMO the MOST important thing you can do is research, the best place to do it? Right Here!
Take a little time and use the search function and check your model years enging tranny, and check out the most common neglected maintanence thread right here to know what to expect and what to look for and where to look for it...
This will not only save you money, but the end result will be a better ownership experience of a true sports car!
Good Luck and if you can't find the answers to your questions useing the search, just post it

Blue Targa in Snow

After reading this thread over and over again for inspiration, I can finally post.

Top end rebuild done (mostly). Just need to lower it, put on the new (used) RUF speedlines and do some interior cleanup.

As you can see, still too much snow to really get it going yet. I am waiting!

can I here from the owners of targa's with saratoga tops? How do they compare to the collapsable and rigid tops as far as fit, leak/no leak, noise,...
Thanks Bob

Does anyone make a zip-out soft window conversion kit for the later cars?

I can't figure out how to make the pictures larger. It's an 84 daily driver to and from school and work. I hope to slowly modify it, the college student income is definatly the limiting factor. These pics were on the way to the Dragons Tail on New Years Eve (the camera died when we got there).

JayG,
Love those polished cookies. I have a set slated to be mounted in the near future.
Incidentally my original color was light yellow, but PO changed to black (bad paint job). your's makes me think hard on changing it back to the original color. Also like your customized front spoiler, interesting.....And where did you find the wheelwell trim to fit the lower fender extensions? Hard to come by.
