Any excuse to post... Love the 4 inch lips

Those are just freaking awesome! They just give that mean ass look to the car, even if its not a turbo! Nice, real nice!

Makes me smile how she is turing out.

That is one good looking targa! Just get the front oil cooler fill in the front and it is set! Nice and clean! It is coming out great!

Hi,

One tip, and one question! I found out this tip driving from Minnesota to Oregon a few years back. If you roll the windows up about 3" it really seems to "tame" the airflow, it doesn't "slap" the back of your head as much, interestlingly enough, raising them higher doesn't change things much until their almost closed! Now my Question, I keep reading comments about adjusting the top. How is this done?

Here is another one - not 100% from the side, I like to shoot the angles and the curves.

Rutager ... you should also do a search for posts by Dan Petchel here in the Pelican tech forum . Dan is a recognized expert in Targa tops and is very generous with advise and tips here ...

I might be mistaken, but I think mine is the first Lime Green on this thread.
Recently rebuilt from the ground up...

Color didn't come up exactly right in the photos... it's really lime green, not viper(ish) as it looks here...

My wife says it's "disco". Of course it is! She's a '78! Easy to find in the parking lot...

Okay you got my attention. What is that car? Looks like it might be a "retro" (Houndstooth inserts, Irish Green, silver Targa band) 987. Is this a concept from an auto show?

Search RUF targa. It's an electric 997 concept car with the old style brushed roll over targa bar. It even has a soft rear window!

That Ruf is in the newest Excellence magazine. You can get the targa look in a conventional (non-electric) vehicle if you want. Ironically (or perhaps because Porsche already has a Targa) Ruf calls it a Roadster.

The mag has some great shots of this car next to an identical green original soft window Targa. Sweet...
