Great classic image...along w/the old memorex ad.

However, perhaps a Targa owner's worst nightmare?!

You have started a quest.

I must now go in search of this poster in shape suitable for framing and find the perfect place to hang it.

It's good to see that the targa-thread is coming back to life a bit! Too bad the weather here in The Netherlands will force me to put mine in storage pretty soon

Great thread....

Can anyone direct me to the page describing the top adjustments and mods using to sided tape. It showed photos and had detailed directions.

Thanks

Hey,
That post I was looking for is "Targa Tinkering"

Also, after scouring the countryside via the web, here is mine, I have owned it for two weeks, and spend a lot of time with it. My first Porsche, an outstanding machine. Thanks Pelicans for all the research support.

I don't know how I missed that Black and Red '84 that is now in NH

If you find a source for either version of the poster, let us know eh?

I just wanted to give you guys a bit of an update on the tops. I will be placing an order for a new fiberglass top very soon to pull my mold from. Then with hope, I will place my order for the aluminum to make the braces and gasket gap fillers. then its pretty much up to me figuring out an efficiant way to vac bag the part so we end up with the smoothest most ridged top without any bracing. I know this has ben a long proces and for that I am truly sorry for, BUT I know without quesiton these tops will had the quality and engineering one would expect from a true over built OEM part with several options for high speed track day cars wthout the worry of lift. So, now it is down to "Gulf Coast Claims" to get this project off the ground and rolling.

My enthousiasm and design idea's have not slacked one bit. this part will be made and promise 100% satisfaction.

Thanks everyone for your patience through the design and prototype stages.....

Cheers,
Scott

No luck yet!

plenty of Porsche posters, but not that one! Seems like it should be able to be found. I will keep looking and post on here if I find it.

Hi David,
This is not my car but a car of my buddy Ansgar. Mine is the blue Targa on page 72.
I have fwd your post. Both cars seem to be from 1972...

Ansgar runs a little blog (in German). Nevertheless you can see some more pics of his car there:

Best,
