Lurker no longer

I'm in-

Found a local 84 daily driver with 135K on the odo during the winter. Spent some hours getting all the buttons, hinges, handles, etc working, and rebuilt the front end. Five weeks at my friends shop for body touchups and paint, and havent been able to stop smiling since.

Many thanks to all, (particularly the serial posters) for providing invaluable insight- sometimes the smallest nugget of info makes all the difference.

I have some more things on the "to do list", but with any luck, most can be postponed until after the summer. If anyone is in the lower Fairfield County Conn. area, send me a note!

Thanks again- Dave

Very nice car. Watch out as the "need to do list" and "want to do list" start to merge together. Have fun.

Nice car! I have always been a fan of those particular BBS rims on a 911.

As requested....

Here are some more shots just taken. Seems like I have too much time on my hands today (hehe) ......must be time for a drive.

The pics show the car canted to the pass side, but on level ground she sits level. The driveway pitches to center for drainage. Funny how your eye will compensate for actual conditions.

Mike A- Youre so right about those tools, and worth every penny in saved aggravation.

I will try to mind my manners here, not having the experience to expound with authority...although I did find a 99 cent cup holder at Autozone that works amazingly well!. ( Oh, the horror of it all)

Thanx-

Dave

that is one nice car! love the area! and looks like there are two very serious pickup trucks in the background. a truck like that is a PITA in the SF bay area. too many u-turns and not enough parking places. sigh!

Thanks for the compliments-

The credit for the wheels goes to the PO. I have aluminum dust guards behind the fronts, thinking of adding them to the rear. Can't imagine life without WheelBrite.

The BBS look even better on the silver- I love the monochromatic look.

Enjoy the holiday!

Dave
