Bay Area SCWDP guys help w/Carrera engine install
Well Zoanas' engine was ready to go back in today so Vash and I helped out.
Fan housing, blades and engine tin have been powder coated - looks good. ![]() I like his sound pad, mines just plain rubber. ![]() Last edited by cantdrv55; 07-03-2004 at 04:36 PM.. |

The clutch slave cylinder was a b*tch to put back in. We must've bent the hard line during the engine removal because we just couldn't get the bolts to line up. Good thing we had another G50 to look at for comparison.
![]() The motor's back in. Only the top end left to do. I had to split at this point so Zoanas and Cliff finished up. ![]() ![]() I heard the car after right up after adding oil and gas. Looking forward to autocrossing with you guys later this month. I had fun doing this project so let's do another one soon! |

Nice install, looks great. What kind of muffler is being used? I'm jealous, not that I can use all the power I have now.

Again, I can't express how cool this whole experience was for me. I hope you guys got as much out of it as I did. Please remember that I am available to any of you who needs help with any project. I am still on cloud nine. There is nothing like the feeling of turning the key after putting your motor back into your car. Talk about a rush of adrenaline when it fires right up! The greatest thing about the whole week was the confidence and education I got. I feel so much more knowledgeable about my car, and far less intimidated.
Schrup - The muffler is stock.
