Help Finding Source Of Oil Leak 85' 911

My car has a really small oil leak that I'm trying to find the source of. After I go for a drive and park the car a few drops of oil leak off the bottom of the oil pan at the bottom of the engine. Drops are right at the bottom of pan at the seam right at area of plug. Usually have to check it a half hour after the drive for there to be any oil. Seems to stay dry while the car is running, but maybe it is just running down from somewhere. After I wipe off the few drops it doesn't leak again till the next drive. After cleaning everything up down there it seems that the oil is running down the passenger side of the pan. Anybody had a similar leak? Have only had the car a couple of months and previous owner said no leaks. First month no leaks then it started doing this. Shortly after leak started I changed oil and put some dino oil in. Does oil ever leak from the seam in the pan? It's really hard to tell where oil is coming from.

Do a search on oil leaks. ther are about 3 typical places for leaks

My 86 had the leaks coming out the same areas. I thought I had a bad rear main seal and pully seal because the oil always seemed to follow both ends of the engine seam. Finally after cleaning the underside of the engine several times, I found it. My left side oil return tubes were leaking.

Since replacing my left tubes only, my engine hasn't leaked a drop.

Cheers,

Joe

jack the car up. slide under it and run your finger around the area that the oil return tube seats. that is one deceptive bugger! my money is on that sucker. passenger side is easier to change out on my cars. lucky you.
