Wayne,

It's going to cost you more than $2 to put one on my car.

Why not a free one thrown in for orders over $100 or so.

You don't have these already? If nothing else, it would be a good way for locals to spot one another.

And, while on the subject of marketing/advertising, I would be a lot more inclined to put a Pelican sticker in my window if it were on a transparent background.

Above all else, a good lic frame design will find its way onto more cars than one that looks like a car dealership. You have the oportunity to do something cool here and raise the bar. That will attract more notice as well. (Welded chains, man )

Keep in mind that different states and provinces require different styles. Here in BC, the date sticker is along the bottom of the rear plate so the usual frame with the thick bottom (advertising space) can't be used here. All of the dealers use a thick top design... just a thought!

The Pelican BBS is like an exclusive club, which I would be glad to show my membership. I like the idea of throwing them in orders over $100, I would have several by now.

Even after I said what I said about design, I know you are limited to what is commercially available. All frames that are affordable are either injected molded plastic or die stamped metal. It's adapting one of these products to a better look that is the challege.

I kind of like this one

I think I would have 50.

A Pelican Parts BBS frame thrown in w/ $100 will probably go to a lot of people that never come to the board. It might get more here, but not much of an "exclusive" club.

$2 each, sold (linked) only right here on the BBS would be more of a BBS club to me.

I'm all for it either way.

Not a chance. Just like I wouldn't drive a new car off a lot with some stupid dealer sticker or license plate frame.

However, I do own a couple of Pelican shirts that I proudly wear. But decorating my car with Pelican Parts advertising isn't going to happen.
