Just wanted to share some pics of my 70 targa. Same clouds and same type of car as in svandamme's recent thread.

I agree...
What is that thing right above the shifter, where the ashtray should be?

The thing in the ashtray is a halda speedpilot and it is as old as the car. It mechanically calculates your average speed. I use it for vintage rallies where you need to maintain a certain speed over a certain distance.

Peter,
yours is pretty sweet i like the way the fuchs paint, and chrome horn grils blend with the silver paint and the S trip contrasts with the paint all nicely balanced a lot more stock than mine, a great specimen !!!

Peter,
Beautiful car! And the last time I saw a Halda Speedpilot was in a Saab 850 GT from the early 60's. Perfect period piece on a great car.
