I have pics, but don't know how to upload it without exceeding the 65k file size limit.
I can resize, but the pics will be too small. |

the "system" will resize them for you automatically, it's slower but it works great... post away

Except for seeing a few beauttiful Carrera 356s, I have to say I was kind of disappointed. I was hoping to see some 917s, Speedsters, 550s, RSK60?
I guess all those cars are in California and weren't going to make the long trip to Texas. It was nice to meet Bill (SilverC4S) and see his really nice silver '71? S.

Well I lasted one day and split. Just was not my scene. Too much humidity and heat. Had to get my rear back to Colorado. The Concours was not populated with as many kewl cars as I expected. For example, no Carrera RSs or 550s etc. There were a couple of nice long nose 911s but very few 356s compared to what we had in Denver at our June Concours. There were some tractors which are always great to see.
What was worse, was I got cornered by disgruntled long-time PCA member who talked incessantly of fragrant misdeeds of national officers. Yikes! Such as all of the PCA board were apparently flown to Rennsport Reunion, and one officer towed her P car down there instead and was paid $.40 a mile (>$1400 for the trip!). This is the stuff I did not hear as I prepare to pay my national dues again. I will stick my local RMR track events for now on. I know what works for our region. One PNW instructor was so arrogant to tell me that DE students in their region can not solo for a whole year because they just would could not possibly be ready before then. Geez give me a break. Others might have a different take on PCA Parade mystique but certainly ain't for me. Though there were surely some great folks there (I know because they were from my region), there seem to be a greater percentage of the porcupine types present instead. I was pleasantly surprised on the goodie bag and its bundled components. Every PCA member should experience Parade once to draw their own conclusion. Now why the heck did my AC not work on my SC during my journey.... YMMV.
