After reading a lot lately about adding a front oil cooler I had this crazy idea. I am sure it has been thought of before but what would be the problem with fitting a carrera oil cooler (the one in the wheel well) in the front?
Just a thought...

You mean instead of buying one to fit up front ala RS bumper??
I think the dimensions are wrong. I think for that location you need something long and skinny, and the carrera cooler is too close to square.

I have wondered this too. On its side the fittings are in the right place. But it is a little short to fill the hole. I have often thought if I got the right deal on one I would try it. Ends up being cheaper to go with one that actually fits in the hole. If you already have one though.... I cant see why it would not work for most street/ DE stuff.

It would have been done already if practical and possible.
As Steve said, it won't fit unless you perform some major surgery. Why not just sell it and use the proceeds to purchase a properly sized cooler? You'll have change left over..... to buy a new front bumper. Sherwood |
