Painted whale tail and mirrors this weekend
Got alot done on the p-cars this past weekend. Heres my C2 body SC with its new tail. Got the paint through paintscratch.com and shot it through my new HVLP paint gun. This weekend I'll be color sanding, buffing, etc. Getting it ready to sell it to buy a 930.

love your car man, its sad to see that nobody has bit on it yet. I've seen it up for sale for a few months now, hopefully you'll see some action sometime.

Did you shoot single or two stage paint? I'm thinking about doing some painting as well... local body shop wants way too much money. I've painted lacquer before, but I don't want to have to buy an entire ventilation system for the killer two stage paints.

You should be able to sale your car with no problem. The buyer would get the best of both worlds. a more modern look with the power, handling and reliability of a 911SC.

If I had not already bought my car a year ago, I'd definitely look at this one..after a PPI of course. Message me your asking price...I might have a friend who could be interested.

I used the single stage paint and it looks pretty good. Just sprayed it in my garage and it only took about 20 min of actual painting.
Yeah, its a great car. Its never let me down and it seems to want to go on forever. It does have its little "projects" to be done: fixing sunroof cables, mounting the AC controls to some kind of lightwieght alluminum console, could use some new rear tires too. Funny how those rears wear out so quickly! If I'm getting a turbo I better get used to it. |
