I'd probably start on an opinion with a look at the service/accident history, ownership history, upgrades made (if any) and general condition of the car. If it passed muster then I'd have a pro do a PPI and check cylinder compression, leakdown, oil leakage etc etc.

Is it from a dealer or private party?
