How do I reattach my sunroof "velvet" seal?

The "velvet" seal on my sunroof is peeling off around the ends of the front seal. Is this seal glued on? I can't see how else it is attached. Can I reglue it? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks.

Just buy a new one and glue it with 3M trim adhesive. I replaced mine that way. The velvet trim is very cheap.

not to be a "use the search" guy, really, but there is some good infor on it. real brief like, i found that if you remove about one inch of the nylon core material from one of them (i think its the front, but check other threads) the sean where the front and rear meet lays much flatter, hence a better fit and seal. i made the mistake of mounting mine just a bit too high on one side. make sure you leave it just flush, or even a little (tiny little) bit low.

good luck and keep track of the adhesive, its nasty and multiplys after getting on your hands like a cage full o bunnies.

Thanks. I prefer to use search functions but it seems like the one here only turns up recent threads. How can I search the whole archive?

If the " Search For Posts From..." field is set to "any date" your search should run through the entire archive.

BTW, welcome to the board. Pics of your car?
