My feeling is, d.s., that you're talking about cars that are way out of peoples perimeter here.

or maybe the ducts are fiberglass. fiberglass ducts could have been added later.

it is eiter a 993 Turbo S, or a 993 Turbo with "upgraded" aftermarket bodywork.

Like this 993 TT S?

It's for sale here for the bargain price of $114k: http://www.ooley-blackburn.com/details.asp?DB_ID=1905

This one is very high on my list of dream cars, if not the very top.

yes, there was a turbo S, and it is quite rare.

bodywork differences from the regular TT include the air intakes in the rear fenders that you mention. Aerokit II front spoiler lip and rear wing. small foglights and air scoops in place of the original large fog lights. yellow calipers.

I saw a blue one on the PCH a few years back and caught up to it.....the driver was Jerry Seinfeld.

here is one in silver:

The 993 Turbo S was only available in '97, if I'm not mistaken, and it's pretty high up on my list also, if not the very top
