Save the targas
Spent the day working a targa bar back to the way is should be.
Thought I would share the before and after to inspire others to rescue their early targa bars. Tom. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1089591357.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1089591369.jpg |
Did you sand it down or did you use some form of paint remover to bring it back?
|
Beautiful! Looks much better in stainless finish!!

Looks good.

I used a can of the spray on paint remover "aircraft paint remover" brand.
2 coats and it wiped of the paint. Then I used some crome pollish to get any scratches out. Tom. |
Tom...
You rock. Nice job. These early cars suffered so many sins from the previous owners misguided attempts to "update" thier cars look. You have now performed a Porsche Community Service Announcement. You may now go out and bust a law or two. :D
I like it...and I am a coupe man. Shawn. :p edit: now go get some rocker trim or an early style =PORSCHE= decal. He he. SmileWavy |
Looks MUCH better! Do you have any more shots of your wheels? Are they black centers? Looks like you are running 16's (x6 and x7?). I have the same car and am looking at going to 16 x6 and x7.
Thanks, Dan |
Now THAT'S what were talkin about! Looks great! And original. Way to go!
