Heater boxes for 3.6 conversion

Has anyone fabricated heater boxes for headers? I have been trying to find some 1 3/4" headers w/ heat to mate to a factory style 2in 2out sport muffler. Most aftermarket HE's for the 3.6 are made with about 29" center to center spacing where they attach to the muffler. The factory style muffler mates at about 23" center to center. Since it seems SSI will never make an early style HE with larger primaries for the 3.6 conversion, maybe the solution is to find some nice SS racing headers and fabricate your own boxes. Any ideas? (If worse comes to worse, I can always hook up the old Webasto!!!).;)

someone posted an image of this type of project a few days back...would not be that hard to make happen other than $$$ from your pocket, anything is possible.

Many of us have searched foe such an animal for many years.

AFAIK there is no such beast
the choice of 1.75" primary tube headers is

B&B
McNeil
FVD
Bursch
S-Car-Go
Custom
Thr Bursch is not available w/ heat but can be connected to factory mufflers

The FVD have a heat option

There are many custom builders Hayward & Scott seem to make some interesting ones

I have been talking to Hayward and Scott. They think they can make me a set of 1 3/4" HE's with the sport muffler mating flanges. I'll let you know what comes of it.

I ran into this same problem, decided to fabricate a heating system using a second oil cooler mounted in a flow box in the trunk with an air tube routed to the blower, and a flapper to close when A/C is needed. It will provide more than enough heat " I live in Texas" , and has the added benefits of allowing me to run true headers plus adds extra cooling to the motor.
