How best to Clean Topside of Motor Before Installing Alternator - PIC

My alternator was fried when I bought this car, a 73E targa. The local rebuild shop told me that mine would require complete rebuilding, so I went with a rebuilt unit he had on the shelf for $146 out the door.

Before I reinstall it, however, I plan to clean the top of the engine and underside of the fan shroud. Can I just pressure wash all of this?

Also, does anyone know where to get replacement rubber boots for the electrical connections on the alternator? The old ones are very brittle.

I appreciate the help.
