paint chip repair
My 1100 mile round trip to SC was a blast but resulted in several small chips in the paint due to small stones being thrown up by traffic. Saw an ad in Panorama for an "autosharp pen" that is "the best you can get without repainting." it is similar to a felt tip marker that uses urethane paint. Have any of you used it or have any words of wisdom for getting stone chips in paint on the hood repaired? Thanks!

There is a product called "lanka"
The theory is, you put a blob of paint on the chip let it sit and semi harden for x minutes (can't remember) then use the lanka to smooth off the top of the blob. I used it, I got very good results on my practice chips. The ones low down at the front. The chip that I bought it for has defied me! I would say for frontal stone chips, it's good. Jeff

One of the best articles on the subject IMHO.

Wow! Awsome article! This is just what I was looking for. I have many little chips in my black paint but I don't have the $$ to drop on a paint job.
Great read! Tells you exactly what you need and how to do each step. Thank you, Nix
