rennline new gas pedal
I have found a few threads about this pedal. Looks very nice and what I also like is that it is a complete pedal, not some piece of aluminum that you just bolt to the existing plastic.
From the rennline webpage (www.rennline.com) ![]() While it is a complicated gizmo and the price is probably justified, in it's functionality, is it really worth the $250? Anyone who's got this one, please let me know. Functionality over a cheapo one piece being the most important aspect, I need this to be able to heel and toe. I am just not getting it right with the stock gas pedal. TIA, George |

Certainly not saying the above is not worth the price, but I made a pedal out of wood, yes wood, cut it to fit my style of heel toe, which is more of a rolling motion with the top side of my foot rather than blurping the throttle with my heel. Our pedals moves downwards from the top, so hitting the bottom of the pedal with your heel doesnt do a whole lot. My design looked the one in the picture, but with the big part at the top.

I copied the other Rennline design & made my own for $4 worth of material. I have just started to use it this last week & am getting used to it. I could not get used to heel-toe with the factory pedal & find the one I made much easier. Here's a link.

Look at the AJ USA pedal too. It is a complete replacement - not as functional but a little less pricey.

db and EW, do you guys have links / sources for these pedals? I sure would rather spend the $ on track time than a $250 pedal!

George, All you need is a good aftermarket pedal and to get behind and adjust the factory one to the height you like. The Rennline one is VERY complicated, IMO. All Bling, no Zing. Simplicity is the key to any good design.
Cheers, James

I bought a second stock gas pedal and attached it on top of the existing one, to build up the height. Lazy, cheap, works.
