Porsche Crest Local PCA and such-

Two cool things happened Saturday for me:

First, I went to my first PCA event in over 2 years, which was a really nice gathering of many local members for at a great picnic\activities happening. There was more food than we could eat, and some outdoor games, and LOTS of Porsche talk! Then we compared cars and ideas too! Very nice time; thanks to the members of the Roadrunner PCA Club in New Mexico- Early next month will be the next autocross, and I plan to run it for the first time with this newer car, wish me luck!

Secondly upon a suggestion learned there, I removed the sound deadening and insulation from the back seat area of my Targa, Whoa Nellie- there must have been over 50lbs. of crap back there for me to lose!! I had no idea that it weighed so much!
I'm adding lightness everywhere I can on this car, and this was a gold mine for me. I've already shed the A\C, most of the junk from my dash area, put in lightweight racing seats, and more, but this will help a lot.

Sounds like you had a great time, Rick. Regarding the weight savings, do we have another thown_hammer on our hands?

Good luck with your upcoming AX and tell us how it went!

Shawn is not the only one that likes a good lightweight.

Ri-i-i-ight! Your car is kind of anorexic, too, right Jamie.

Porsche Crest

Yeah, I'm hoping to keep the car looking nice on the outside, but stripped on the inside. I'm thinking hard about what to do with the doors right now...
I know the whaletail weighs a lot, but I really like the look!
I will certainly post a thread after my run next month!
