What do people do when putting car on blocks for a while.

I have decided to start stripping my car and paint soon. Not sure how long it is going to take, could be six months could be 2 years. In the latter case, where the car is not going anywhere for a while, what do people do to protect the engine from sitting. I am not sure it will be a problem for me since I am going to try and keep together enough that I will be able to drive up until I pull the windows and various lamps off. (Need to get to the weld guy some how) Meaning I'll strip the bulk of the car before I do those areas that make the car undrivable such as after the windshield is removed.

Just curious what people do in case something goes wrong which is usually the case as we all know.

Thanks,

David

Put some Staybil fuel stabilizer in the tank and run the car for a few minutes to get it up through the fuel lines. Use a battery tender for the battery. Save stripping the parts that allow you to be able to start the car until as late in the process as possible. Try to start your car once a week.
