Rickeolis: Did you install the double-shock kit for whale tails?

You learn something new every day. Dental floss won't rot... who knew?

i have a fiberglass tail that is developing stress cracks from the double strut setup. just too much leverage when you open and close the lid. my mechanic noticed the cracks and showed me his solution. he removes the struts entirely, and every "tailed" car he sells comes with a titanium prop bar. he stores it on the shelf under the oil filter. i would use a carbon fiber arrow shaft from a hunting arrow, if i ever did it again. right now, my previous tail is undergoing fiberglass repair.

Scott- No, and I'm trying to lighten my ride, so I might even remove the shock again, and just use a stick!
