How i spent my summer vacation.....
I got up early this morning and started cleaning the garage, before I knew it the engine was out of the 911 and on the ground. I guess I have to fix that broken head stud now.
The drop took just under two hours, no drama except one small thing: Don't you hate it when you are wedged under the car and you are reaching up and around trying to loosen the top nut on the starter, and the ratchet slips out of your hand? Of course your head will be lined up perfectly with the trajectory and you will be wedged in there so tight you can't get out of the way even if your reflexes were that quick. I tried to catch it with my safety glasses but I caught it with my lip instead. Of course it swelt all up and sprung a leak, but nothing that won't go away. this is my second drop and I cut my time almost in half. I figure i'll do a little work on the enginbe every day so i don't get all burned out on it. no hurry except it has to be up and running before the german Autofest. I'm also hoping to have a few dyno runs to post after I get it all back together. Any early guesses on what it'll do? It's all stock except for the intake manifold pressure
