Highest performance tires/size for 15X 7&8

Fender clearance isnt an issue, so whats the best size tires and brand/ model of tires to run? Michelin pilot sport cups look good, but Im wondering if there's a better sized tire to use.

thanks

Oh, tire wear isnt a problem, neither is sound; this isnt a daily driver.

Last time I checked, you couldn't get 225/245 (front/rear) DOT 'R' tires for 15s unless you go with hoosiers, which aren't really appropriate for any street driving at all. you can get 225/245 for 16s, and plenty of sizes for 17s depending on how much flare you have.

I went with Bridgestones S-O3 Pole Positions in 205/50 and 225 /50 sizes with my 7s & 8s Fuchs that came on my Weissach coupe. These are the best tires for performance street apps. They did get greasy early when I took them to the track in May (only once!). Can not complain otherwise except for the price, great traction in rain too. HTH

Because I wanted the size differential, front/rear but you are right they (225) would fit on the 7" rims. There is no larger size for the rears either to the best of my knowledge (Bridgestone that is..).
HTH.
