Avatar help please?
 

Sorry for lack of Porsche content, but I'm wondering how to shrink a cool photo down to 50x50 pixels. I don't even remember how I got my current one up there. It's almost microscopic by then and plenty of folks here have cool and easy-to-see avatars. Please?

Richard, if you want you can download a free photo editing software that will do it for you called IrfanView or just email the pic to me and I will reduce it to avatar size and send it back to you.

Good to know. It seems to help to crop the field as much as possible before resizing too.

I just finally did it using Microsoft photo editor that came with my computer. Just clicked resize and changed the units to pixels and 'voila.

It does help to crop first...not the best pic in mine but so easy to change..

How do you post pictures?

RL - if you are now worrying about your avatar that must mean you've finished with all your projects on the 993 :)

Seriously, I just click right click on the picture, click on the "open/edit" function and then click on "resize" and mess around with the % reduction until I got the size I wanted it. It does help though if it is a close-up to begin with.

If you can't get it to work just e-mail me the pic and I'll resize for you and send it back.
