HP Junkies Todays News
Well today I had the opportunity to meet one of RUF Premier Tuners that was in town, as you can imagine we talk Porsches all day long, we had in our posession a 2003 Twin Turbo that was converted with the RUF Engine Pakage, the car produces 580FWHP so down for ride we went, I have to said that it is a very fast car and very civilize very nice ride indeed.
Then it was our turn and down we went with our car, My engine builder took him for spin and he was very impress with the power of the car, It was a great honor that someone from RUF had like the car, so down I went feeling like Mario Andretti and to the dyno I went, strap her and once more we continue to suffer from the tire spining dilemma at the dyno. Today was very hot out side but still we manage to laid down 580RWHP, no what I expected but I just can get this thing to hook at the dyno, well thats todays news. ![]()

that must have been great to talk Porsches with that guy, what a day you had. When l lived in Vancouver l`d go down to Weissach for RUF parts and occasionally get a chance to talk to someone from RUF. lf you`re not familiar with Weissach they`re the only RUF distributor and conversion shop in North America.Excellent shop with all the cool stuff. Hey Juan,l`m doing my 3.2 turbo conversion (follow the leader) and so far l have B&B exhaust ,stock 89 turbo and wastegate, custom big intercooler, fully upgraded ignition and new stock fuel pump and finally this week a Promotive chip.My question? should l go with the Promotive fuel pressure regulator also,to go with the chip? At $450.00 it`s pricy but apparently it`s a custom unit specifically calibrated for the 3.2...any thoughts on this or anything else that l should know as l go forward into getting slammed back in my seat.l`m so stoked to finally have the speed to beat my Mitsubishi Galant VR-4. lt is running 20 psi boost with supporting mods but still,at 1/10th what l have into the P car

raceman,
if you don't go with the regulator how will you provide the additional fuel? the regulator would save mucking about with bigger injectors or an additional injector. did protomotive give you a chip to match the std 930 turbo unit? i;m following your progress with interest.

The Fuel pressure regulator and the chip from them is what makes the pakage nice as the settings are right on the money, all do some of the boys that have turbo the 3.2 had installed adjustable units and had good results, so at the end of the day it appears that you could go either way, but with the proto unit you wont have to worry about adjusting the fuel.
Ignition all you need is a MSD Blaster coil and a 6AL Unit and that dept will be covered. Since you have a Custom Intercooler I could get rid of the 930 turbo and install a Garrett TO4B and you will be happy.
