Metal Fabrication Question

Hi Folks -

I have recently deleted the A/C from my '87 coupe.

Does anyone sell, make, or are willing to make a block off plate for the gap left by the front blower (the part behind the front bumper)?

Thanks.

Here are some pics...

The plate would need to be 6.5" by 4.5" .

One would need to measure the screw positions on an actual blower or make those oval slider holes....

I am looking for something light, black, rustproof, quickly done and factory looking.

Oh, and maybe a gasket of some sort?

Home Depot sheet metal worked fine for me. I sprayed the bottom exposed area with black Rustoleum. I also used some foam weatherstripping for a nice seal. Here's a pic (not a great one though)

It really easy to do yourself....just make sure you wear gloves if you're using a belt sander, or you could end up at the emergency center on a Saturday morning geting 6 stitches...ask me how I know. ooooooohhhhhh yeah, sheet metal cuts deep.

You can also use Alu. sheet and a rivet gun

I can make you one, however you like: aluminum, stainless, or mild steel. PM dimensions. I can use slightly larger holes and you can use a small washer on each screw to allow for tolerences and adjustment.
