Ride Height Adjustment Wrench?
Re-installed my spring plates last night and totally wacked out my slim ride height wrench - both ends? It seems these wrenches - even the Snap-on ones - are only for "low torque" but the manual calls for 177 ft-lbs? What gives, or am I missing something??

The wrench is for the bolt adjustment. The nuts are for tightning. Use never-seize and make sure you torque to At Least 125# ea. better is spec. The specs may be for bare threads?

Now you can save some money on the replacement wrenches by buying them at a bicycle shop!

I do not understand? If I apply the torque to the nut doesn't it get transferred to the bolt - because that is what appears to be happening? How do you isolate the bolts?
It was difficult to see what was happening when on the car, but I tightened them off the car and the ride height wrench just got wider and wider?

Just a small percentage of the torque is transferred to the bolt in the way of turning the bolt. The rest of the torque "energy" is stretching the bolt and squeezing the plates together.

As you tighten the nut, counterhold the bolt with the height wrench. Once the bolt you are holding with the flimsy wrench "grabs" the springplate, there is really not much pressure on it anymore, and you torque the nut on the front of the plate using a standard socket or wrench.
I prefer to destroy my ride height wrench by tightening oil lines, personally.
