Euro H4 Install Question

Hey,

I just got my Euro H4's and am ready to install. Is there a 'right' and 'left' unit on these?

Thanks

No. They're the same.

Yeah whats the deal with fittment on these things?? They surely don't clip on the top of the fender very well!!

No, they sure don't. I dropped one on the freeway the other day. Duct tape is your best friend.

Oh great Just what I want! I wish they just fit a little better. ANybody Know the solution??

I bent the upper tab outward with pliers a touch. Also, look at the back of the h4's and make sure the wire "supports" that are around the inside of the h 4 aren't in the way of the upper lip. When I bought mine they were in the way out of the box - had to rearrange 'em.

Make sure you have the special two piece screw. If some suppliers will tell you to use the USA 1 piece screw and that will work. Don't believe 'em, they came out of the factory with the two piece stainless screws.

Good luck

Never had any problems fitting Euro H4 headlamps to early 911's/912's I imported from the US.

All sets of Bosch H4's I've bought in the UK & Germany have had a single-piece chrome screw as the bottom retainer - I thought the 2-piece ones came with the paintable trim rings ?

the two peice screws are made for the paintable trim rings. A single screw will work if you have the primered finish or the chrome.

I ran into the same problem a month ago. Here is a link to my thread and what I did to fix the problem.

I also found these easier to install when the rubber "surround" that cushions against the body work is old and "somewhat" compressed...instead of brand-spanking new.
