Wheel Bearing Race
Everyone refers to replaceing the race along with the bearings. I purchased the front inner and outer bearings and seals, but don't even see a race in the PP catalog. There is a spacer for $40, is that it?

The race comes with the bearing. The bearing plus the race equals what you get in the box. Do yourself a favor and heat up the hub on a grill or in the oven before you try to pound it in, it will make the job much easier.

seperate the races from the bearings and stick in the freezer (don't mix them - mark each bag individually) Heat the hubs on the grill when you get ready to stick them in... Works like a charm...

Be careful when you drive out the old races. I have seen people drive them out with a hammer and punch and if you booger the seat area, the new race will not seat properly.

What timing. I'm still looking for stock ride height but found this excellent write-up by Thom:

It's best to not mix bearing races unless you know they are from the same manufacturing lot/run - then, maybe OK. If the bearing races are from different manufacturers, then suggest you don't mix.
