Anyone bought a car from RichardSloan.com

I am not sure why I am cruising the web looking for another car to buy, but I am.

He has some great cars, was wondering how he is as a car dealer?

I know, or at least I have met Richard Sloan. I called him several years back on a car and he talked my ear off. His prices are a joke, a real bad joke. I can’t see how he sells any cars but he loves talking about them. I met him at Hershey this year, not a nice guy, huge attitude. He was selling a 120k mile 83 targa that was chopped into a cab and turbo looked. He wanted an outrageous price and he scoffed at people making offers.

Seems nice, but I could do without the rear hood clips. Hood clips are for fake GT-500 "Eleanor" cars, not 911s. Now, some nice RS rubber straps would be a different story, but does the cable really weigh that much?

(997 cup car)

not saying they're a great idea for a street car, but there they are.

You may want to do a search on rennlist.com about Richard Sloan (especially on the 993 forum). I spoke to him about a couple of '95 C4's before I found my care elsewhere. He talked my ear off too! Seemed like a nice guy, but never got anywhere close to talking prices. I know one Rennlister bought a TT that needed a new clutch immediately, even though the car was represented as perfect. I believe Sloan did pay for at least part of the repair.
