Question SC wheel offset

Will wheels with an offset of 55 mm, off an C2 (964) fit the offset of a 78 SC.
Really what I am asking is, is the offset on a 964 the same as on an SC?
Thanks.

No Sir!
You will need some spacers. I put 993 wheels on my SC and needed 2.50 spacers in the rear. I think I used 1.in in the front.

There's a chart on this page that explains various wheel widths & tire combinations. It also lists the offsets & what not. It's a link from Steve Timmins' website.

Thanks Guys

I currently have some aftermarket 17's on there as it is a C2 widebody update.
I now that there are some spacers on there already.
Now is the intention of the spacers for clearance or are used to change the offset.
What I am asking now is, will the spacers I have on there now work, or will I have to get differnet spacers to change to the offset I need.
TIA

ok, a 964 and an SC do NOT have the same offset. You would need spacers.

Compounding the issue is the widebody kit.

For example, if you had a set of Fuchs on an SC you would need spacers to get them pushed out for a 930.

If the 964 rims need spacers on an SC those rims would need ridiculous spacers on a widebody.

I'd definately go a different route.

Do a search. Lots of info.
